Primera sesión pública del Grupo Base Binacional Acta 320
In the framework of Minute 320, signed on October 5, 2015, which is derived from the The 1944 International Waters Treaty between Mexico and the United States, a multi-institutional, bi-national body of dialogue and consensus known as the Binational Core Group (BCG) was created. The Group is headed by the International Boundary and Water Commission of Mexico and the United States, represented by the two Commissioners, accompanied by representatives of the federal and state governments, and non-governmental organizations in both countries (Environmental, economic and academic sectors).
In order to strengthen the dialogue between the BCG and the public, and to consolidate the monitoring of agreements, the group met for the first time publicly on January 28, 2020 in the Presidents' Room of the Municipal Town Hall in Tijuana, Baja California, to hear proposals from the public on the issues of water quality, sediment and solid waste.
